Only 20 kilometres away from Ciudad Real it is placed the Historical and Monumental Landmarks of Almagro. It needs to be mentioned the ‘Corral de Comedias and Plaza Mayor’.

In Aldea del Rey (30 km.) we can find the ‘Calatrava la Nueva Castle’, built in 1212-1220. It was the Headquarter of Calatrava´s Military Order.

‘Las Tablas de Daimiel National Park’ is 40 km. Away from Ciudad Real. It has the sweet waters of Guadiana river and the salty waters of Cigüela river.

Among the several birds which are in this Park, we can find:

• Red Ducks.
• Herons.
• Kingfishers, etc.

With respect to the vegetation, it needs to be mentioned the ‘Tarayes’.

60 kilometres away from our city it is placed ‘Cabañeros National Park’, which has more than 1000 different species of plants. 

It has more than 200 different species of birds such as:
